What is Valadium?
 
Valadium is a trade name for a special steel alloy used for the maunfacture of jewelry products.  Valadium steel alloy is a patented formula associated with the manufacturer of R. Johns LTD and the Keystone School Ring lines.
 
Valadium's unique properties offer a hyperallergic solution for the wearer, as well as a cost effective alternative to common white colored precious metal alloys such as sterling silver and white gold.
 
Valadium steel alloy is available in a yellow color treatment, as a substitue to yellow gold.  Ask your school ring retailer about this option.
 
Consider that if you plan to attend and finish a collage of your choice, you may wish to purchase a genuine karat gold college ring at a later time rather than purchasing your high school ring as gold.
 
Remember you can receive a trade-in value for your genuine karat gold high school ring, if you return to the same retail store to purchase your college ring.
 
Some college ring panels are not available from your favorite retailer.
 
Other "Valadium" types of alloy are trade-named differently, with such names as "Siladium" and "White Lazon" .

The commemorative jewelry business is very competitive.

Returning your school ring to an authorized retailer or service center

is very important. All, if not most adjustment and repairs will be done FREE OF CHARGE.

Your only expense should be your mailing charges.

Ask your local postal service about insurance costs as well.


Write a short note to accompany your personal property to be repaired.

Assume your jewelry will not be the only item of a similar description
at the Repair Center.  Therefore a good description can help
the service personnel keep your property in order.


Write your return address and a contact telephone number on your repair request.

  A (Men's or Woman's, High School ring, pendant, Etc).

Metal choice:

  (18K, 14K, 10K, Sterling Silver, Valadium or another contemporary metal.)
Look to the inside of your ring shank for this detail.

Remember a short and simple note will allow your request note to accompany
your property as it moves through the repair facility.

The repair center will fulfill your request and return your property within
4-5 weeks, So it'S best to have all of you needs fulfilled while your property is at
the repair center.

The service center will likely return your property cleaned, polished and detailed to
it's original specification.


The Service center will contact you about any additional costs to complete any unique requests.

A severely damaged ring may require a complete remake or a replacement with a similar or current model.

A REMAKE CHARGE MAY BE INCURRED.

If your original item is made of a precious metal ally (18K, 14k, 10k or Silver alloy),
you may have a "trade-in" value in case of a remake or total replacement charge is incurred.


PACKAGING YOUR SCHOOL RING TO SEND TO A REPAIR CENTER.

1.

 Wrap your item with repair request in a modest plastic wrap or baggie.
I use a zip-lock sandwich baggie.

2.

 Place that into a second baggie if possible.

3.

 Now, place your carefully wrapped bundle into a sturdy light weight
container or padded envelope for shippment.  In the United States, find
a shipping box at your local Post office.

4.

 Address a shipping lable using the proper address found above.
CAUTION:  DO NOT USE WORDING THAT CAN DRAW ATTENTION TO THE PACKAGE CONTENTS, ON THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR PACKAGE. (RING, JEWELRY, LOOSE STONE etc.)

 Discover a current retail replacement price for your school ring.  That value will be needed
to properly insure your package.  Ask your local retail jeweler for an estimated replacement value or
